Job summary

The Faith-Based & Community Engagement Specialist role at the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services focuses on building and sustaining partnerships with faith-based and community groups to support CPS and CPI goals. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of four years’ experience in community engagement, faith-based partnerships, volunteer management and/or CPS/CPI work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain partnerships with faith-based and community partners to support CPS and CPI goals.
• Develop and manage local/ regional volunteer and intern programs, including volunteer platform coordination and background checks.
• Coordinate a community relations program through media outlets and speaking engagements; develop educational materials.
• Track donations and contributions and ensure proper acknowledgments.
• Prepare monthly/ annual reports and attend required meetings.
