Job summary

Asurion is seeking a Manager, Failure Analysis - Level 4 (People Leader) based in Smyrna, TN, onsite five days a week. You will lead a team of Failure Analysis Technicians within Global Quality Engineering, guiding fail investigations, root-cause analysis, and data-driven decisions to improve quality and delivery across Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and Quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field required.
10+ years in quality, failure analysis, or a related technical environment.
Experience leading technician teams and coordinating cross-functional investigations.
ASQ CQE, CQA or related certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Define Failure Analysis quality standards, testing methods, and reporting expectations.
Lead complex failure investigations across Quality Engineering, Operations, and Product Engineering.
Directly manage a team of Failure Analysis Technicians with coaching and development.
Manage incoming requests, set priorities, and monitor progress to completion.
Allocate staffing, equipment, and lab capacity to meet timelines.
Ensure accurate testing, traceability, and documentation of analyses.
Translate findings into clear recommendations for partners and leadership.
Develop team capability through structured training and mentoring.
