GlobalFoundries, at its 300mm Malta, NY fabrication facility, offers an internship in the Failure Analysis Laboratory designed to provide hands-on experience with semiconductor failure analysis, sample prep, imaging, and analytical techniques while building an understanding of semiconductor technology and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Sophomore status at time of application; pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field; minimum 3.0 GPA; good academic standing.
• English language fluency (written & verbal) required.
• Travel up to 10%.
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Responsabilités

• Support analyses to meet turnaround times without sacrificing quality.
• Collaborate with lab shift teams, engineers, and managers to define methods and interpret results.
• Work with Process Integration, Process Module, Product Engineering, and Customer Engineering to meet tech requirements and deadlines.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow, cycle time, equipment utilization, and cost.
• Participate in continuous-improvement activities and lab process enhancements.
• Communicate effectively with peers and cross-functional teams.
