Job summary

GlobalFoundries, located at its 300mm Malta, NY facility, seeks a new graduate for Failure Analysis Laboratory roles. You will apply sample prep, imaging, and analytical techniques to semiconductor analysis and manufacturing challenges.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Physics, Materials Science, or a related field, a 3.0 GPA minimum, and English fluency. Relocation to Malta, NY, and travel up to 10% are expected. Internship or co-op experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Physics, Materials Science, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field from an accredited program.
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA and good academic standing.
• Fluent in English (written & verbal).
• Able to relocate to Malta, NY.
• Travel up to 10% of time.

Responsibilities

• Support advanced analyses that meet turnaround-time requirements without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with lab shift teams, engineers, and managers to define analytical methods and interpret results.
• Work with Process Integration, Process Module, Product Engineering, and Customer Engineering to meet technology requirements and deadlines.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow, cycle time, equipment utilization, and cost.
• Participate in continuous-improvement activities and lab process enhancements.
• Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with peers and cross‑functional teams.
