Adecco US, Inc. is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer in San Jose, CA to investigate customer returns and field failures across server and PCBA-level products.

You will perform root cause analysis and work with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to implement corrective actions. The role requires 2–3 years of hands-on PCB experience, proficiency with lab equipment, and a strong hardware troubleshooting mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience working with PCBs
• Experience troubleshooting hardware at system, board, or component level
• Knowledge of Linux environments and hardware debugging techniques
• Experience with Python or SQL is a plus

• Troubleshoot complex electrical systems using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs

Failure Analysis Engineer | San Jose, CA

Are you passionate about solving complex hardware issues and driving product quality improvements? An industry-leading technology organization is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer to join its engineering team supporting advanced server and data center hardware products.

In this role, you will investigate customer returns, field failures, and manufacturing escalations, performing deep root cause analysis at the system, board, and component levels. You will partner closely with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and product teams to identify corrective actions and improve overall product reliability.

Failure Analysis Engineer

• Number of openings: 5
• Shift: 2 Day Shift 3 Swing Shift (3:30pm-11:30pm PST)
• Employment type: Full-time, direct hire; exempt status
• Base salary range: $70,000 – $80,000 per year + Annual discretionary Performance Bonus
• Must have at least 2-3 years of hands on, direct or related experience working with PCBs.

Key Responsibilities:

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Experience troubleshooting hardware at the system, board, or component level
• Knowledge of Linux environments and hardware debugging techniques
• Familiarity with server technologies, PCBAs, circuit analysis, and failure analysis methodologies
• Experience with Python, SQL, or similar scripting/programming languages is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
