Job summary

CMI Group Aerospace & Defense in Tempe, AZ seeks a First Article Inspector / CMM Inspector for day shift to ensure aerospace part quality through PC-DMIS CMM work, FAI execution, and GD&T analysis. You will operate CMM equipment and perform spot checks, supporting night shift with inspection methods.

The role requires U.S. citizenship or permanent residence, meticulous problem-solving, and strong communication in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• CMM experience with PC-DMIS required.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Operate CMM (must have experience).
• Perform FAI (First Article Inspection).
• GD&T / Proficient at advanced mechanical inspection.
• Manual CMM inspection using CMM Manager or equivalent.
• Perform spot checks (In-process Inspection).
• Assist night shift employees with inspection methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform FAI and first article inspection duties.
• Conduct CMM inspections and GD&T verifications.
• Carry out in-process spot checks and QA sampling.
• Support night shift with inspection methods and data recording.

Location & Shift

Location: 1515 W 17th St, Tempe, AZ 85281
Shift: Day Shift (Monday - Friday)

Requirements

• CMM experience (PC-DMIS) required
