Job summary

CMI Group in Tempe, AZ is seeking a First Article Inspector / CMM Inspector for the Day Shift. The role requires hands-on CMM experience with PC-DMIS, GD&T expertise, and solid mechanical inspection skills.

You will perform FAI, in-process spot checks, and manual CMM inspections, supporting the night shift as needed. Candidates must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and commit to 40+ hours per week in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

First Article Inspector / CMM Inspector - Day Shift Position

Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing

Location: 1515 W 17th St, Tempe, AZ 85281

Shift options: Day Shift (Monday - Friday)

CMM Experience Is Required For This Position (PC-DMIS).

Due to the nature of the work performed in our facilities, all employees must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Requirements

• Operate CMM (must have experience)
• Perform FAI (First Article Inspection)
• GD&T / Proficient at advanced mechanical inspection
• Manual CMM inspection using CMM Manager or equivalent
• Perform spot checks (In-process Inspection)
• Aid night shift employees with inspection methods

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and sit or stand up to 8 hours per day
