University of Tennessee, Knoxville invites applications for a Faculty Consultant in Teaching & Learning Innovation. The role provides direct support to tenure-track and non-tenure-track faculty, graduate students, and post-doc instructors, helping develop teaching and curriculum practices.

Reporting to the Associate Director for Curriculum Development and Design, you will coordinate workshops, support signature events, and create instructional resources.

Formación

• Earned master's degree required.
• 1–2 years’ experience supporting faculty, graduate students and/or post-docs in higher education.
• Knowledge of graduate student development, inclusive teaching and assessment on a college campus.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders (faculty, staff, external partners, university administration).
• Proficiency in MS Office and Canvas LMS; familiarity with accessibility standards for visual communications.

Responsabilidades

• Contributes to and coordinates TLI’s monthly workshops and programs.
• Supports annual signature events (Innovative Teaching & Learning Conference, New Faculty Teaching Institute, Graduate/Professional Student Week).
• Guides faculty, graduate students and post-docs on teaching and learning best practices.
• Supports curriculum design, development and assessment at course and program level.
• Authors resources and responds to instructor consultation requests; completes classroom observations as needed.
• Develops resources and professional development opportunities with TLI team.
• Represents the unit in joint university initiatives promoting faculty development.
• Implements invitation, tracking and assessment for all TLI events.
