This position plays an important role in supporting CBPP faculty and staff through a variety of administrative, logistical, and project-based activities, including special events, equipment planning, and day-to-day office support. Candidates who enjoy helping others, are comfortable managing multiple priorities, and are eager to learn and apply new technology while helping others understand and use it effectively are encouraged to apply.

As a member of the CBPP team, the Faculty Support Specialist plays an important role in supporting the College’s faculty and academic operations. This full-time position provides administrative and operational support to CBPP faculty and helps ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of academic and office processes. The Faculty Support Specialist assists with academic policies and procedures, maintains electronic files and records, tracks documents and deadlines, and provides responsive support to faculty and others across the College. The position regularly interacts with faculty, staff, students, and members of the public, making professionalism, excellent customer service, patience, and a positive approach especially important. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other office productivity or database applications, along with strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills, will help the successful candidate thrive in this role.

The ideal candidate should possess professional experience coordinating and collaborating with others, with the ability to work independently and exercise a high degree of initiative. They should demonstrate the ability to build positive partnerships, contribute effectively within a team, and coordinate, develop, and lead projects. Experience working in an administrative higher education environment, along with experience coordinating programs and events, supporting digital media, and addressing the unique needs of distance learning and multicultural student populations, is highly valued.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s degree and two years progressively responsible experience related to the program specialty (Professional experience to include serving in an administrative support position and one year of relevant experience in coordinating, creating, and leading projects), or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
