The Student Engagement Coordinator develops, implements, and oversees programs, events, and initiatives that foster student involvement, belonging, leadership development, and overall student success. This position serves as a key resource for students by creating meaningful opportunities for engagement both inside and outside the classroom, while supporting a vibrant, inclusive, and welcoming campus community. The coordinator collaborates with students, faculty, staff, and community partners to plan and execute programs that enhance the student experience, encourage personal and professional growth, and promote retention and persistence. Responsibilities include advising student organizations, coordinating campus events and leadership programs, managing program budgets, assessing program effectiveness, and ensuring activities align with institutional goals, policies, and best practices for student development.

Success in this role requires a passion for supporting students and creating meaningful opportunities for engagement, connection, and personal growth. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic relationship builder who enjoys collaborating with diverse groups of students, faculty, staff, and community partners. Strong organizational and project management skills are essential for balancing multiple events, programs, and priorities while maintaining attention to detail. The ability to communicate effectively, think creatively, and adapt to changing needs will help foster an inclusive and welcoming campus environment. Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent

This position is located on the Troth Yeddha' campus in Fairbanks Alaska. This is a full-time, non-exempt temporary staff position.
