Job summary

University of Utah Health is seeking a Faculty Affairs Program Manager to coordinate faculty operations for the Department of Internal Medicine, supporting ~500 faculty across 12 divisions. You will manage appointments, reappointments, onboarding, reviews, promotions, and records while ensuring policy compliance and accurate data management.

You will collaborate with Faculty Admin, HR, UUMG, and other partners, guiding processes and maintaining consistent procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 4 years or Master’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of related work experience.
This is a Developing-Level position in the General Professional track.
Experience in faculty affairs administration within an academic health center, medical school, or higher education environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate faculty recruitment and appointment activities, track changes, and appointment actions for multiple faculty tracks.
Prepare required documentation, Chair letters, appointment files, and electronic voting materials.
Coordinate emeritus faculty requests per University guidelines.
Serve as departmental liaison to Faculty Administration, HR, and other partners; monitor status and communicate updates.
Coordinate and support faculty review, promotion and tenure processes; ensure timelines and requirements are met.
Maintain official faculty records; ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
