Job summary

AEP in New Albany, OH seeks an engineer to commission, operate, test and maintain FACTS and HVDC facilities, including STATCOMs, SVCs, and energy storage systems.

Experience with power systems and design review is preferred; ABET-accredited degree required; PAT may be needed.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Minimum 2 years of related engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Commission and maintain FACTS/HVDC equipment.
• Support new FACTS project activities from specification to in-service operation.
• Review drawings and vendor documentation for FACTS devices.
• Coordinate and schedule annual FACTS maintenance work plan.
• Respond to emergency call-outs and restore service as required.
