Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. (SEL) is expanding with a new device factory in Nampa, Idaho. We seek a Factory Manager to lead production teams building digital and ruggedized hardware for electric power and industrial systems.

Lead with SEL Values and World Class Manufacturing, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery while shaping staffing and capital decisions for sustained excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related technical field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of eight years' leadership experience in manufacturing/operations.
• Proven ability to prioritize, organize and delegate work.
• Knowledge of manufacturing process and product flow.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to mentor SEL values and teach principles.

Responsibilities

• Direct, lead, organize and motivate the factory to meet objectives.
• Ensure safety, quality, on-time delivery, and budget targets.
• Identify staffing and capital needs to meet goals.

Job description

SEL is growing and opening a new device factory in Nampa, Idaho. We are looking for a Factory Manager to lead all production teams in a factory producing digital and ruggedized hardware products designed to protect, control, and automate electric power grids and industrial systems.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team where you’ll have an impact on ensuring SEL values and World Class Manufacturing principles are both core to the operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Direct, lead, organize and motivate assigned factory to meet strategic and operational objectives.
• Accountable for the safety, quality, on-time delivery, lead-time productivity and budget of assigned factory.
• Identify and justify staffing and capital requirements to meet objectives
• Contribute in setting the strategic direction for assigned factory.
• Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
• Understand. Create. Simplify.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors' degree in related technical field or equivalent experience Minimum of eight years' related experience in increasingly complex leadership roles supporting operations.(manufacturing is preferred) Proven ability to prioritize, organize and delegate work; intervene to remove obstacles as needed Knowledge of manufacturing process and product flow Demonstrated ability to model, mentor and teach SEL values to others Excellent leadership and communication skills Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment Background check results satisfactory to SEL Negative drug test result(s)

Pay Range Data

$130,000-$160,000 per year. Our ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. The pay range may differ in other locations based on cost of labor.
