Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Corrections seeks a Corrections General Industries Factory Foreperson at the SCI Cambridge Springs to lead inmate workers, guide production, and ensure safe, efficient operations in a secured facility.

You will train workers in production methods, supervise safety, use SAP for activity tracking and purchasing requests, assist with production planning, and perform additional duties to keep the factory running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in production of goods or services, or
• An associate degree in industrial technology, operations management, business administration, or a related field; and one year of work experience in production of goods or services; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes one year of work experience in the production of goods or services.

Responsibilities

• Train inmate workers in production methods, equipment use, and computer programs for daily operational reporting
• Maintain a secure work environment by conducting searches, monitoring movement, and managing tool and supply inventories
• Use SAP to review plant activity and submit purchase requests to support efficient operations
• Analyze records, help set production goals, and recommend equipment improvements for better output
• Carry out additional duties needed to ensure smooth and effective operations
