Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Building Maintenance Foreman, Utility Plant Supervisor, or Corrections Tradesman Instructor with a specialty in one of the trades; or
• Six years of experience in construction, maintenance or repair of buildings; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Daily Planning: Organize work schedules, assign tasks, and prepare budgets reflecting facility goals.
• Staff Oversight: Direct maintenance and trades employees, plan orientation and training sessions, and review performance.
• Operational Reporting: Prepare inventories, track assignments, and maintain records and documents.
• Safety Compliance: Inspect work areas, check equipment, and ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures.
• Emergency Response: Act as Duty Officer, manage after-hours issues, and address urgent facility needs.
• Resource Management: Review requests for tools, supplies, and equipment, ensuring proper justification and use.
