You will supervise staff, coordinate repairs, and guide on‑the‑job training to ensure a secure, well‑run facility.

The role emphasizes daily planning, resource management, and safety compliance, with a 40-hour workweek (6:30 AM–3:00 PM, Monday–Friday).

Qualifications

Two years of experience as a Building Maintenance Foreman, Utility Plant Supervisor, or Corrections Tradesman Instructor with a specialty in one of the trades.
Six years of experience in construction, maintenance or repair of buildings; or operation, maintenance and repair of utility services equipment, including two years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

Daily Planning: Organize work schedules, assign tasks, and prepare budgets reflecting facility goals.
Staff Oversight: Direct maintenance staff, plan orientation and training, and review performance.
Operational Reporting: Prepare inventories, track assignments, and maintain records.
Safety Compliance: Inspect areas and equipment, ensure adherence to safety standards.
Emergency Response: Act as Duty Officer, manage after-hours issues, address urgent needs.
Resource Management: Review requests for tools, supplies, and equipment with justification.
