This position reports to the Head of Production or their designee and is located outside of Nashville, TN. Collaborates in managing production schedules, resources, and personnel to meet manufacturing goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff on the shop floor to ensure that manufacturing processes run smoothly and meet quality standards.
  • Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet production schedules and deadlines.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate production staff to ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to identify and resolve production issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with engineering, logistics, and quality assurance teams to improve production efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including time, materials, and outputs.
  • Ensure compliance with Odulair’s safety and quality standards at all times.
  • Lead safety meetings and ensure all safety regulations are strictly followed.
  • Prepare reports on production performance and present findings to management.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head of Production or their designee.

Education and Work Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proven track record of managing teams effectively to meet production goals.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, production plans, and safety regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions quickly under pressure.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods.
  • A can-do, positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential.

Equipment and Applications:

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and production management software.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and lean manufacturing tools is a plus.

Work Environment Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment while maintaining a methodical approach.
  • May require standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery.
  • Compliance with Odulair's Health and Safety Policy and all relevant safety regulations is mandatory.
  • Odulair conducts regular drug and alcohol testing as required by the Department of Transportation (DOT).
