Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Corrections seeks a Corrections General Industries Factory Supervisor to lead a productive team at the SCI Huntingdon Garment Plant, guiding staff and inmate workers to meet quality and scheduling goals. The role blends supervision, planning, and hands-on support to keep manufacturing activities safe, efficient, and well organized.

Salary starts at $59,588 per year, with full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55; telework is not available; 40-hour

Qualifications

• One year as a Corrections General Industries Factory Foreperson or equivalent Federal Government title.
• Four years of experience in the production of goods or services, which includes one year of lead work experience.
• An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes one year of lead work experience in the production of goods or services.

Responsibilities

• Workforce Supervision: Oversee staff and inmate workers, provide training, review performance, and support safe work practices
• Product Development: Guide product design, prepare samples and specifications, and check work to ensure quality standards are met
• Production Planning: Coordinate production schedules, track inventory, and maintain supplies to meet customer needs
• Resource Management: Review product demand, request raw materials and equipment, and supervise storage and allocation of supplies
• Equipment Oversight: Monitor installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment to support safe, efficient production
• Recordkeeping Duties: Maintain production, inventory, procurement, and customer order records in line with retention and accreditation standards
