Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a Corrections General Industries Factory Foreperson to lead inmate workers at the SCI Benner Township laundry plant, guiding production tasks and maintaining a safe, efficient operation. You’ll oversee tools, materials, and workflow to ensure quality and daily reliability.

You will direct inmate training, monitor safety and production records, and identify improvements.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in the production of goods or services.
• An associate degree in industrial technology, operations management, business administration, or a related field; and one year of work experience in the production of goods or services; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes one year of work experience in the production of goods or services.

Responsibilities

• Inmate training: Teach production methods, safe equipment use, and proper work practices
• Workplace safety: Maintain a secure environment, conduct searches, and oversee tool and supply control
• Production monitoring: Use SAP to track orders, materials, shipping, and purchasing needs
• Process evaluation: Review production records, assess workflow, and recommend equipment or process improvements
• Operational support: Assist with related duties that help maintain effective factory operations
