Job summary

TRUMPF North America is seeking a Smart Factory Automation Project Manager to lead installation projects of large non-standard automation systems and guide customers from pre-install to sign-off. You will coordinate across Engineering, Software, Service, Assembly, Training and Applications to ensure on-time delivery and successful project completion.

The role requires 3–5 years of related experience and strong communication and PM skills, with travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

Three to five years' TRUMPF-related service/engineering and PM experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in a multi-cultural corporation.
Experience in construction or automated production systems.

Responsibilities

Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor installation projects of large non-standard automation systems.
Guide customers through the entire installation process from pre-install site visit to system acceptance and sign-off.
Create a detailed project timeline with responsibilities and milestones; coordinate staffing and resources.
Establish regular coordination meetings with stakeholders to provide technical expertise and address conflicts.
Travel to pre-installation sites to ensure installation readiness and site compliance.
Support on-site installation as liaison between customer and TRUMPF.
Facilitate change requests and communicate impacts on scope and schedule.
Coordinate travel and submit travel expenses reports.
Provide regular feedback to Engineering and Production.
Identify improvement opportunities and report to the appropriate teams.
Travel requirements up to 75%, including overnight travel.
