Job summary

Sysco Chicago, Inc. is seeking an Operations technician to oversee safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance of the facility, ASRS, dock equipment, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, and security.

You will need a High School diploma (GED accepted) and about four years of industrial facility/ASRS maintenance experience; refrigeration operator certification is a plus. The role offers a 2nd shift, pay around $27.88/hour, and a $7,500 sign-on bonus for new hires, with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Four years of industrial facility and ASRS maintenance experience; or equivalent combination of education and related experience
• High School diploma or GED; facility maintenance tech school preferred
• Refrigeration Operator I RETA CARO (preferred)
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements
• Knowledge of controls and electric with working knowledge of OSHA electrical safety standards; Title 29
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements
• Understanding of electrical meter testing and PLCs
