Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking an Operations technician to assist in and oversee safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance of facility systems including ASRS, dock equipment, and electrical systems. This full-time role requires adherence to safety standards and hands-on maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing tasks.

Key responsibilities include PLC involvement, basic welding, preventive maintenance, and on-call participation.

Qualifications

• Must understand and follow safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and governing requirements.
• Understand electrical safety standards and NFPA codes.
• Work with controls, PLCs, and diagnose faults; perform PLC troubleshooting.
• Complete small welding projects as needed.
• Perform general building maintenance including light carpentry, painting, and plumbing.
• Maintain assets through preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Inspect and repair dock equipment and ASRS systems.
• Log time and materials in CMMS daily.
• Support refrigeration operator duties including inspections and logs.
• Respond to emergencies to ensure safety and compliance.
