Job description

Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Facility Technician.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $67,500 - $99,000. Please note that this is a general guideline; salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.

What you’ll do:

Eaton is seeking a skilled and dedicated Facility Technician to manage and maintain the new Power Electronics (PE) Center of Excellence (CoE) site in Raleigh, NC.

The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth operation of all building systems, perform routine maintenance, and address issues proactively. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems.
  • Building Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, fire safety, emergency exits, and security systems.
  • Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized services.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies like power outages, leaks, or equipment failures.
Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in facility maintenance or similar roles.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience repairing building systems including electrical, plumbing, and lighting.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • No relocation offered; candidates must reside within 50 miles of Raleigh, NC, except active duty military members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks like lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
