Job summary

The Colorado Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) is seeking a Structural Trades II for the Air National Guard Division, based at Greeley and other Colorado sites. The role focuses on maintenance of doors, electrical systems, carpentry, flooring, and facility services with a Tuesday–Friday 6:30 am–5:00 pm schedule and occasional on-call support.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of relevant experience in structural trades such as construction, electrical, and carpentry.
• A combination of related education, formalized apprenticeship program, and/or relevant experience equal to four (4) years.
• Must be willing and able to work on-call and overtime.
• Must have and maintain a current Colorado Driver's License.
• Must pass a background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance within six months of employment.
• Residency: open to residents of the State of Colorado.

Responsibilities

• Performs independent routine preventative maintenance and repair on door systems, gates, and related hardware.
• Maintains and repairs low voltage electrical systems on doors and gate operators.
• Carpentry and building maintenance including rough framing and finish work.
• Installs/repairs flooring, ceilings, walls, drywall, and painting.
• Installs cabinets, countertops, and office furniture.
• Performs annual inspections and re-certifications.
• Manage contracts, scheduling, and escort contractors and coworkers for service.
• Assist HVAC, plumbing, custodial, and grounds trades for additional support.
• Roads and Grounds maintenance including snow removal, mowing, and plant care.
• Custodial maintenance including cleaning and disinfecting facilities.
• Escort duties for access to controlled areas.
• Submit material requests, estimates, and quotes to supervisor.
