Job summary

Colorado Mountain College is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician II to perform a wide range of maintenance, grounds and custodial tasks across campus. The role requires hands-on expertise in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and related trades, with a valid Colorado driver’s license.

You will support the Facilities Manager and may lead projects as needed. The position involves on-call duties, potential evenings or weekends, and a wage progression model.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree and three years related experience, or High School/GED and four years related experience.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, locksmith, masonry, painting, carpentry, and/or auto mechanics.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license required.
• Experience leading projects and guiding teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help train other employees and mentor less experienced team members.
• Back up the Facilities Manager when needed.
• May lead designated projects or functions.
• Perform a variety of maintenance, grounds and custodian duties to keep facilities clean and safe.
• Maintain and repair campus buildings, utilities, vehicles, equipment and grounds.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment including plumbing, heating and air systems.
• Provide lock-smith services and carpentry as required.
• Install/repair appliances, fixtures and furnishings; perform painting and finish work.
• Provide on-call service and coordinate safety and construction updates as needed.
