Job summary

SPS is seeking a reliable Facilities Services Associate Lead to join our onsite team in Houston. You’ll help maintain office spaces, manage mailroom duties, room set-ups, and basic maintenance tasks while delivering excellent customer service to employees and clients.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year experience in facilities, office services, mailroom, or a similar role.

  • Tech comfort with handheld scanners, email, Word/Adobe, and collaboration tools.
  • Willingness to learn maintenance skills (burnishers, auto scrubbers, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in offices, kitchens, pantries, restrooms, and conference rooms.
  • Set up conference rooms and support company events.
  • Restock kitchen supplies, pantry items, and copy/printer areas.
  • Assist with office moves and basic furniture handling.
  • Perform general clerical tasks and maintain records.
  • Enter and update information using Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, etc.
  • Receive, scan, sort, log, and distribute incoming mail and packages.
  • Deliver packages and maintain tracking records.
  • Operate postage and mail-handling equipment.

Facilities Services Associate Lead

Schedule: Mon - Fri 8:00 pm -5:00 pm

Employment Type: Full-time | Onsite

We’re looking for a reliable, energetic Facilities Services Associate Lead to join our team! If you enjoy hands‑on work, take pride in keeping spaces clean and functional, and thrive in a service‑oriented environment, this role is for you.

The candidate should have prior experience working in a mailroom, as well as strong computer skills and good written and verbal communication abilities. They must be able to collaborate effectively in a team setting as well as work independently. Maintenance skills are a plus, and the candidate should be willing to learn how to operate maintenance equipment such as burnishers, auto scrubbers, and other facility equipment. Reliability and flexibility are essential qualities for this position.

The candidate will be responsible for delivering and picking up packages, as well as sorting incoming and outgoing mail. Additional duties include setting up conference rooms, cleaning and vacuuming the offices, and burnishing floors. The candidate will also assist with cleaning the cafeteria after breakfast and lunch service, support office moves, and maintain pantries by restocking supply closets and ensuring that copy paper is replenished at printer locations.

As a key member of our facilities team, you will support daily office operations, provide exceptional customer service to employees and clients, and help maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workplace.

What You’ll Do
Facilities & Office Support
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in offices, kitchens, pantries, restrooms, and conference rooms
  • Set up conference rooms and support company events
  • Restock kitchen supplies, pantry items, and copy/printer areas
  • Assist with office moves, basic furniture handling, and equipment inventory
  • Perform simple repairs; report more complex issues to the Facilities Manager
  • Perform general clerical and administrative support duties, including data entry, filing, scanning, document organization, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Enter and update information using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and other workplace systems.
Mailroom & Package Handling
  • Receive, scan, sort, log, and distribute incoming mail and packages
  • Prepare and process outgoing mail
  • Deliver packages throughout the office and maintain accurate tracking records
  • Operate postage and mail-handling equipment
Copy & Print Support
  • Receive, prioritize, and complete copy, print, scan, and document‑production requests from employees and clients.
  • Operate copiers, multifunction printers, scanners, binding machines, laminators, and other office equipment.
  • Assemble and finish documents using binding, stapling, hole punching, collating, and other finishing methods.
  • Review completed copy and print jobs for accuracy, quality, formatting, and completeness before delivery.
  • Troubleshoot basic copier and printer issues, replenish paper and toner, clear minor paper jams, and report equipment problems requiring additional service.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical files, logs, service requests, and tracking records.
  • Handle documents and business information with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate document and records requests with appropriate internal departments and external vendors when needed.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked copy/print and business center areas
Fitness Center Support
  • Provide coverage in the fitness center as needed
  • Restock towels, clothing, and toiletries
  • Maintain cleanliness of locker rooms, showers, and restrooms
Front Desk & Business Center Assistance
  • Answer phones and support clients at the front desk when needed
  • Assist with copy/print tasks and conference room setup
  • Serve as backup to reception staff
What You Bring
  • 1+ year experience in facilities, office services, mailroom, retail, hospitality, or a similar role
  • Strong communication skills and a customer‑first mindset
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Tech comfort: handheld scanners, email, Word/Adobe, messaging tools (Teams/Slack/Google)
  • Professional, positive, and reliable attitude
  • Willingness to learn new equipment and maintenance skills (burnishers, auto scrubbers, etc.)
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift 40–50 lbs regularly and push/pull carts up to 60 lbs
  • Capability to bend, kneel, walk, and perform hands‑on tasks
  • Manual dexterity for office equipment (phones, copiers, binding tools, etc.)
