The GEO Group in Houston, Texas is seeking an Assistant Shift Supervisor to help maintain security and safety for residents and staff. You will assist with supervising Monitor staff, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with facility policies.

Key duties include supervising personnel, driving incident reporting, and performing routine security checks in accordance with contract requirements. A valid driver’s license is required and prior supervisory experience is preferred.

Competenze

• Two (2) years related experience (i.e.: security, criminal justice, military, corrections, community based services); supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiar with community corrections system and current community corrections practices.
• Demonstrate flexibility to perform a wide range of duties.
• Valid driver's license.

Mansioni

• The Assistant Shift Supervisor may perform all duties of a Monitor and/or Security Monitor.
• Provides leadership to Monitors through assignment of work and monitoring progress.
• Oversees shift personnel duties to ensure facility security and safety of residents, staff and community.
• Reviews reports for accuracy and completeness and logs facility checks and passes.
• Patrols building, observes residents, and monitors for unusual or suspicious activity.
• Performs urinalysis testing, pat downs, shakedowns, counts, room searches and breath tests as required.
• Documents disciplinary actions according to procedure and logs incidents.
