Job summary

ASM Global at the Wildwoods Convention Center in Wildwood, NJ, is seeking a security team member to ensure safety of guests, staff, and operations. You will monitor posts, respond to emergencies, manage crowds, and enforce venue rules while maintaining professional customer service.

The role requires English proficiency, a high school diploma (or equivalent), and 1 year of security experience, with the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of public safety or security experience.
• Customer service background.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with the public and professionally handle confrontational situations.
• Ability to work flexible and irregular hours, including weekends, nights, holidays.
• Some knowledge of computers and electronics.

Responsibilities

• Monitor posts and surrounding areas for safety of facility, employees, guests, clients, and visitors.
• Respond to emergencies, disturbances, medical incidents, alarms, and other public safety situations.
• Assist with crowd management, access control, and enforcement of facility rules during events and operations.
• Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols and identify safety or maintenance concerns.
• Lock/unlock doors, gates, and offices as required by schedules.
• Maintain awareness of evacuation procedures and fire alarm systems.
• Provide customer service and directions to guests.
• Communicate via two-way radio, telephone, and in person with staff, management, responders, and the public.
