Job summary

Cooper Steel of Ohio seeks a Facility Safety Manager to champion a safety-first culture across facilities and subcontractors, aligning with Safety, Quality, and Production priorities. You will lead OSHA compliance, conduct audits, oversee incident investigations, develop training, and drive safety metrics, reporting to the Director of Facilities Safety.

• Bachelor's degree in Safety-related field required.
• BCSP ASP or CSP certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in safety and environmental roles.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance standards.
• Experience communicating with management and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture across the company and subcontractors.
• OSHA, Health, Safety, Environmental recordkeeping and reporting.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Develop and lead weekly toolbox talks.
• Maintain safety metrics and safety projects.
• Lead the facility safety committee.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and environmental records.
