Job summary

YMCA of Rock River Valley is seeking a Good Shepherd Building Supervisor to oversee the building and grounds during assigned hours, focusing on safety, cleanliness, and member service. The role emphasizes friendly interaction with members, staff, volunteers, and guests in a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include walking the facility to ensure readiness, responding to concerns and emergencies, coordinating with departments, and maintaining a clean, safe space for community programs.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year related experience and/or training.
• Minimum age of 21 years old.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; proven ability to work with children and adults of all ages.
• CPR, AED and First Aid certifications required within 90 days.
• Praesidium Academy training.

Responsibilities

• Walk the facility to ensure the building, grounds, and equipment are clean, safe, and ready for members.
• Be a visible presence throughout the branch, greeting members and answering questions.
• Respond quickly to member needs, emergencies, and security situations following YMCA policies.
• Complete cleaning tasks, restock supplies, set up spaces for events, and address maintenance needs.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers and other departments to ensure outstanding service.
• Monitor safety and proactively resolve issues to maintain a safe environment.
• Identify opportunities to enhance safety, cleanliness, risk management, and member experience.
• Participate in trainings and staff meetings; support daily operations as part of the team.
