Job summary

Nestlé Purina North America is expanding its manufacturing operations at a state-of-the-art facility along the Virginia border, producing leading dry dog and cat foods including Purina Pro Plan, Purina ONE, and Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets.

The role coordinates quality and food safety systems, audits, and document controls to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements while supporting sustainability and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with quality systems, auditing and food safety in a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of document control processes and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Factory Internal Audit Program for Quality and Food Safety Management Systems.
• Coordinate Quality Monitoring Schemes and review annually with QA Management.
• Coordinate factory Change Control program.
• Ensure Document Control, Record Control and Status Control are compliant with Corporate and regulatory requirements.
• Support administration and communication of changes for Quality Monitoring Schemes.

Position Summary

One of our newest factory, located along the Virginia border, breathes new life into a former brewery, creating an innovative and technologically advanced pet food manufacturing facility. We have transformed the existing structure in Rockingham County to produce leading dry dog and cat food brands, including Purina Pro Plan®, Purina ONE®, and Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets®. With a strong focus on sustainability and safety, this facility is committed to doing our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal. • Coordinates Food Safety Management System, company Quality and Food Safety Policy, Quality Management Systems, and Federal Regulations.
• Coordinate the Factory Internal Audit Program of Quality and Food Safety Management Systems.
• Ensure factory Document Control, Record Control, and Status Control programs are compliant with Corporate and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in administration and communication of changes for Quality Monitoring Schemes. Review process annually with QA Management.
• Coordinate the factory Change Control program.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of quality systems, auditing, food safety, quality document control, or related experience within a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment

The approximate pay range for this position is $58,000 - $95,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
