Job summary

Nestlé Purina North America is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for its Rockingham County, NC facility near the Virginia border to lead a skilled team maintaining critical plant equipment and systems.

You will oversee schedules, technician development, contractor coordination, and safety programs to optimize reliability and uptime in a fast-paced pet food production environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing/technical environment.
• 1+ years of people leadership experience.

• Supervise maintenance technicians and oversee facilities/utilities equipment and building maintenance activities.
• Coordinate and assign work schedules and ensure proper completion.
• Build department skills and manage technicians’ progression plans.
• Assist with bid services and manage on-site contractors.
• Reduce equipment downtime by promoting equipment reliability and preventative maintenance execution and compliance.
• Ensure all members of the maintenance department are properly trained in safety procedures and Total Productive Maintenance.

Position Summary

One of our newest factories, located along the Virginia border, breathes new life into a former brewery, creating an innovative and technologically advanced pet food manufacturing facility. We have transformed the existing structure in Rockingham County to produce leading dry dog and cat food brands, including Purina Pro Plan®, Purina ONE®, and Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets®. • Supervise maintenance technicians and oversee facilities/utilities equipment and building maintenance activities. Equipment included but not limited to boilers, chillers, water systems, wastewater treatment, air compressors and systems, pumps, heat exchangers, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, buildings and ground systems and operations.

• Assist with bid services and manage on-site contractors.
• Reduce equipment downtime by promoting equipment reliability and preventative maintenance execution and compliance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, military or related environment.
• 1+ years of people leadership experience

The approximate pay range for this position is $84,880.00 to $127,150.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
