Job summary

Ken's Foods is seeking personnel to support floor care, chemical handling, and sanitation across the plant floor in Las Vegas. The role requires adherence to scrubber zone programs, proper use of approved cleaners, and maintaining high standards for cleanliness.

You will be trained to handle chemical storage, eye wash areas, spill kits, and dumpster sanitation, with forklift duties when needed. This is a full-time on-site position at our Las Vegas facility.

Qualifications

• Floor scrubber operations and adherence to scrubber zone program.
• Maintain appearance of our facility to meet SQF Excellent rating.
• Use approved chemicals appropriately for environment cleaning (foam, soap).
• Follow color code policy for cleaning materials across facility.

Responsibilities

• Access and utilize chemical room storage.
• Maintain clean hand wash areas with all supplies ready.
• Keep hand wash stations stocked with approved soaps and sanitizers.
• Fill Meritek stations with proper soaps/sanitizers and ensure systems are working.
• Ensure spill kits are stocked and accessible in designated areas.
• Participate in spill containment for oils, chemicals, water, sewage when trained.
• Stock safety kits with necessary materials for the operations area.
• Ensure eye wash stations are clean and functional.
• Train others in proper cleaning and sanitizing of dumpsters used daily.
• Maintain VMI room materials inventory and organization.
• Clean and sanitize barrels.
• Act as resource for general cleaning across operation areas.
• Perform fork truck duties when required (fork truck license) and assist other tasks as directed by Team Leader.
• Perform other duties as directed by Team Leader.
• Food Safety responsibilities include producing product free of contamination, following Ken’s Foods Security and GMP policies, reporting suspicious activities, and inspecting work areas for contamination issues continuously.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include The Following

• Floor scrubber operations and adherence to scrubber zone program
• Ensure maintained areas represent our appearance as being an SQF Excellent rated facility
• Perform environment cleaning using proper chemicals in required situations (foam, soap, )
• Follow color code policy for cleaning materials used across facility (i.e. product contact, floors, drains)
• Access and utilize chemical room storage
• Ensure hand wash areas are clean and all materials are available
• Maintain hand wash station with approved chemicals and ensure all systems are in proper working order (including filling Meritek stations with proper soaps/sanitizers)
• Ensure spill kits are stocked ready and are in designated areas
• Must be trained and able to participate in spill containment (oils, chemical, water, sewage)
• Ensure safety kits are stocked with materials needed in the operations area assigned
• Ensure eye wash stations are clean and in working order
• Act as Trainer for proper cleaning and sanitizing of dumpsters used daily
• Ensure VMI room materials inventory quantities are available and room is organized
• Clean and sanitize barrels
• Act as resource to all operation areas for general cleaning
• Fork truck duties when required to support various tasks (requires fork truck license) Perform all other duties as directed by Team Leader

Food Safety Responsibilities

• Producing product free of contamination
• Following all Ken’s Foods Security and GMP policies
• Reporting any suspicious activities anywhere in or around the plant
• Inspection of work area for any possible product contamination issues on a continuous basis
