Job summary

Overwraps Flexibles is seeking a dedicated sanitation and maintenance associate to ensure clean, safe production floors and outside areas. You will follow GMP/SQF procedures, inspect equipment, and support waste management and housekeeping tasks.

Responsibilities include operating cleaning equipment, training others, adhering to 5S standards, and covering shift gaps as requested. This role requires reliability and adherence to safety rules in a fast-paced plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Follows all safety requirements, policies, and reports any unsafe conditions to Supervisor/Management.
• Maintain plant floors in a clean and orderly condition. This may include, but is not limited to: dusting, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, etc.
• Maintain outside plant perimeter including: waste compactors, parking lots, behind building by chillers, and oxidizers.
• Visually inspect the production equipment for proper sanitation.
• Assist in emptying trash containers.
• Assist in emptying recycle containers.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
• Ability to train other employees on daily cleaning tasks.
• Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and department safety rules.
• Be available to cover absences or work overtime within other departments as requested by management.
• Ability to complete other tasks/duties assigned by management
• Assure compliance with all SQF Procedure requirements
• Assure compliance with all GMP requirements
• Assure compliance with all 5S procedures and requirements
• Assure all products are manufactured in a safe, quality manner
• Assure compliance with all customer specifications
• Promote and enforce compliance with all employees
