Ken’s Foods is seeking a Facility Sanitor to maintain a clean, safe, and food-safe environment across the facility. The role supports multiple operations groups by performing sanitation tasks and adhering to safety protocols to maintain our SQF Excellent rating.
Starting rate is $18.50/hour. The job requires standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and ability to work all three shifts in a fast-paced food processing setting.

The Facility Sanitor role is in place to maintain a clean, safe, and food-safe environment in the facility. This role is a support role for multiple operations groups. This position involves multitasking and adherence to safety and sanitation standards to uphold facility’s SQF Excellent rating. The starting rate for this position is $18.50/hour.
The duties listed represent the overall scope of the Facility Sanitor position. While an employee may not perform every duty, the role includes responsibility for supporting all listed functions as business needs require, including but not limited to: operating floor scrubbers, driving the floor scrubber, using proper chemicals, following color-coded cleaning policies, maintaining hand wash and eye wash stations, stocking spill and safety kits, organizing inventory in designated areas, trash removal, general housekeeping, drum washing, line stacking, pump cleaning, slurry dumping and tote cleaning, cheese dumping, and other duties as assigned.
This role also ensures compliance with corporate standards and systems used to monitor food safety, food safety culture, quality, and facility cleanliness, and requires flexibility to work all three shifts.
The role requires training in spill containment for various substances and acting as a trainer for dumpster cleaning and sanitizing. Forklift operation is also required when supporting tasks, necessitating proper certification.
The Facility Sanitor must ensure production is free from contamination, comply with security and GMP policies, report suspicious activities, and continuously inspect work areas for contamination risks.
The job demands physical activities such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional crouching or crawling. Mental alertness is essential for safe task performance, quick response to emergencies, and maintaining concentration. The work environment includes exposure to mechanical parts, temperature variations, and moderate noise levels.
