Job summary

Amentum is seeking a facility maintenance/plumbing systems technician at our Groton, CT client site. The role includes daily support, performing preventative and predictive maintenance on plumbing, pumps, piping, backflows, and related systems while ensuring GMP/GLP standards and safe work practices.

The successful candidate will work in a team, handle work orders, diagnose and repair mechanical building systems, and document activities.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance and plumbing.
• Hands-on experience in maintenance, repair, and operation of mechanical building systems.
• Ability to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and fit test.
• Proficient reading and navigation of MS Office products.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and facility credentials; US citizenship or equivalent required for credentials.
• No sponsorship for US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and preventive/predictive maintenance for plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Repair and maintain building systems including chilled water, potable and non-potable water, lab gas, vacuum systems, and related equipment.
• Respond to work orders and inspect equipment, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Operate hand tools and ensure quality controls and safety standards are met.
• Work collaboratively in a team while maintaining a safe work environment and GLP compatibility.
