Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Facility Maintenance/Plumbing Systems Technician for our client site in Groton, CT. This role performs preventive and predictive maintenance across plumbing, pumps, piping, backflows, and related equipment, ensuring high reliability and safety.

The successful candidate should have at least 3 years of mechanical maintenance and plumbing experience, be able to read technical docs, and pass a respirator fit test.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in the field of mechanical maintenance and plumbing.
• Hands-on experience in maintenance, repair, and operation of mechanical building systems.
• Ability to pass a respirator fit test and read/understand technical docs.
• Proficient with Windows and the full Microsoft product line.
• Driver's license and ability to obtain facility credentials.

Responsibilities

• Respond to work orders, troubleshoot, and perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Repair and maintain systems including pumps, piping, backflows, drains, and related equipment.
• Comply with GMP/GLP and safety requirements; document work performed.
• Operate hand tools, install fixtures, and perform pipefitting per codes.
• Collaborate in a team environment and communicate effectively with customers.
