Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Facility Operations Technician for the Alberta Operations site in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada. The role focuses on monitoring plant performance, operating control systems, maintenance support, and strict adherence to safety standards as part of a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 1+ years in operations, with a technical diploma preferred. ABSA certifications and willingness to travel for training are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willing to pursue ABSA certifications (Class 4+).
• Eligible to work in Canada (no visa sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot plant operations across Hydrocarbons, Polyethylene, and Power & Utilities.
• Operate control systems and perform manual process adjustments and field checks.
• Isolate and prepare equipment for maintenance and work with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
• Follow Life Critical Standards and Safety policies; participate in safety drills and PPE use.
• Collaborate in small teams (4–10+ operators) and contribute to plant goals.
