Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking Facility Operations Technicians for our Alberta Operations in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. The role supports hydrocarbon, polyethylene, and power utilities operations, focusing on safety and efficiency across 12-hour rotating shifts.

Responsibilities include monitoring performance, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with maintenance teams while adhering to Dow's safety and environmental standards. Training programs and ABSA certification progression are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Commitment to work towards ABSA Class 4 or higher technical certifications.
• Must be eligible to work legally in Canada (no visa sponsorship provided).
• A valid Canadian drivers license is required.
• Shift work: 12-hour rotating shifts aligned with plant startup and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot plant operations across Hydrocarbons and Polyethylene areas.
• Operate control systems, adjust processes, and perform field checks.
• Collaborate with teams to optimize production while upholding safety and environmental standards.
• Isolate and prepare equipment for maintenance safely and efficiently.
• Follow Dow's Life Critical Standards and participate in safety drills and PPE procedures.
