The South Dakota Developmental Center (SDDC) is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life and community inclusion for people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities through person-centered services. At SDDC we are comprised of a variety of positions that require differing skill and educational levels to ensure successful operations. SDDC is one of the Divisions of the Department of Human Services, which works together on the common goal of bettering the lives of South Dakotans.
We are seeking an experienced Facility Operations Manager to oversee the efficient, economical, and safe operation of South Dakota Developmental Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing highly regulated environments where compliance audits are frequent and critical. Supervisory experience is preferred. This position requires extensive knowledge of technology systems, as well as familiarity with Life Safety Code, National Electric Code, ADA Standards, ICF/IID Physical Environment Regulations, HVAC and electrical applications.
Water Distribution Class 1, Wastewater Collection Class 1, and Stabilization Pond certification (or the ability to obtain within the first year of employment).
This position is eligible for Veterans’ Preference per ARSD 55:10:02:08.
