Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Manager, Facility Operations to lead the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all facility, domicile and hub functions. You will manage maintenance, sanitation, refrigeration systems, and security, while ensuring cold chain integrity in a high-volume food distribution environment.

You will develop a skilled operations team, optimize workflows using CMMS, lead sustainability efforts, and partner with QA, Safety, and vendor teams to maintain compliance and uptime.

Qualifications

• 5 years of facilities management experience.
• 3 years working with refrigeration systems within cold chain distribution.
• Proven leadership experience managing maintenance teams, budgets, and vendor contracts.
• Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, USDA, FDA, GMP, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with CMMS and basic data analytics to drive performance improvements.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor maintenance and sanitation staff and oversee refrigeration systems.
• Oversee temperature control for perishable products and coordinate with QA/Food Safety teams.
• Manage facility operations activities and capital projects; coordinate with other departments for upgrades.
• Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate staff; manage labor hours and schedules within budget.
• Establish relationships with third-party vendors and ensure compliance with insurance and contracts.
• Oversee asset purchasing, inventory control, and lifecycle management of equipment.
