Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Manager, Facility Operations in Manassas, VA to lead a high‑volume distribution facility. You will oversee maintenance, refrigeration systems, safety, and vendor contracts to ensure cold chain integrity and regulatory compliance.

You will manage a team, develop budgets, optimize CMMS workflows, and drive energy efficiency initiatives while coordinating with QA, Safety, and Operations to ensure uninterrupted service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Distribution Facility Maintenance
• Experience leading maintenance staff and budgeting
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration preferred or willingness to certify
• Strong regulatory knowledge: OSHA/EPA/USDA/FDA/GMPs

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor maintenance, sanitation, refrigeration, and security operations.
• Oversee refrigeration systems to maintain cold chain integrity and respond to excursions.
• Manage facility operations activities, capital projects, and vendor contracts.
• Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate staff; manage labor hours and schedules.
• Maintain relationships with third‑party vendors and ensure compliance certificates.
• Oversee asset management, budgeting, and energy‑efficiency initiatives.
• Coordinate with QA/sanitation on food safety compliance and inspections.
• Lead safety training, incident investigations, and emergency planning.
