Job summary

Escondido YMCA – A Campus for Community Well-Being is seeking a Manager on Duty to supervise the building, ensure safety, and support facility operations. You will act as department supervisor in the absence of senior staff and handle opening/closing, security, and member services.

The role requires at least 2 years of supervisory experience, cash handling, and certifications in CPR/AED and First Aid (adult/child/infant) within 30 days of hire. Weekend and early morning shifts are included.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience handling cash.
• Oversee branch activities and respond to issues quickly.
• Fingerprinting required by YMCA policies.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire from ARC/AHA/ISHI.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls courteously and route to appropriate departments.
• Process transactions following branch policies.
• Monitor facility access and ensure member/participant check-in.
• Maintain knowledge of branch programs to inform members and participants.
• Complete end-of-shift procedures and balance transactions.
• Provide accurate and engaging branch tours.
• Open/close branch and monitor security during shifts.
• Serve as first point of contact for membership concerns.
