Job summary

Scoular invites you to join our Facility Operations Internship, offering hands-on experience across our grain-handling facilities in North America. You will load/unload grain, help weigh and grade trucks, and manage storage while embracing safety protocols and customer relationships.

Work with mentors, learn from operations leaders, and possibly lead a summer project. Open to pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree with a focus on operations, logistics, or agribusiness.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in operations, logistics, manufacturing, agriculture, or agribusiness.
• Hands-on, action-oriented and prefer active in operations.
• Mechanically inclined and curious about equipment and processes.
• Emerging leader with experience motivating others through student organizations, athletics, projects or teams.
• Strong communicator who builds relationships across teams.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with shifting priorities.
• Open to living and working in rural communities as part of the local team.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing grain.
• Assist with weighing and grading of grain trucks.
• Understand and manage grain storage (bins, ground piles, storage structures).
• Lead and train facility employees with guidance from the manager.
• Master and follow safety protocols to protect employees and assets.

• Get an inside look at how a grain-handling facility operates, always keeping results and safety in mind.

Internship Program Overview:

During the 11‑week program, interns create a true impact on our business by building relationships with customers, immersing themselves with our culture and working alongside team members.

• Currently pursuing an associate or bachelor's degreeand interested in operations, logistics, manufacturing, agriculture, or agribusiness
• A action-oriented and hands‑on — you’d rather be on your feet and in the operation than behind a desk all day
• Mechanically inclined and curious about how equipment, systems and processes work
• E merging leader with experience motivating others through student organizations, athletics, projects, work, volunteer activities or other team environments
• Strong communicator who enjoys working with others and building relationships across teams
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment w ith changing priorities and a variety of daily work responsibilities
• Comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders and working in confined spaces and dusty environments while following safety procedures
• Open to living and working in rural communities and becoming part of the local team

What to Expect During the Hiring Process

At Scoular, we try to keep the hiring process straightforward and communicate with you every step of the way. Most Intern and Pathways positions are filled during the fall recruiting season, with the majority of offers extended between September and November. Most candidates can expect to complete the interview process within a few weeks, though timing may vary based on the role and recruiting volume.
