Job summary

TURN is seeking a conscientious residential program staff member in Fresno, CA. You will oversee resident checks, respond to medical needs, manage transportation passes, and ensure adherence to program rules and safety standards.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse client base are essential. Training in CPR/First Aid will be completed within 30 days, with opportunities for growth in the substance abuse treatment field.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • CPR certification and first aid training within 30 days of hire.
  • Pursuing further education/training in the substance abuse treatment field.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and EHR software.
  • Able to solve problems and respond to emergencies; work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor residents and ensure presence at the facility.
  • Respond to resident needs for medication or emergency medical treatment; update logs.
  • Oversee transportation passes for residents.
  • Maintain room, quarterly boxes, and property; ensure program rules are followed.
  • Seek supervision from Residential Program Manager in emergencies.
  • Document routine checks and crises in the program log; assist residents in emotional crisis.

Job Summary

Overall program management including contract outcomes, leadership and supervision, clinical operations, training, fiscal and billing controls, EHR, workplace safety, and policies & procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the residents; ensure they are present at the facility.
  • Respond to resident's needs for medication or emergency medical treatment. Responsible for updating visiting logbooks, ensuring that policies are being adhered to.
  • Provide oversight of resident's transportation passes.
  • Responsible for room, quarterly boxes, and property checks; maintain program structure and adherence to rules and procedures.
  • Seek supervision by contacting Residential Program Manager in case of emergencies.
  • Document in program log both the regular checks on residents and any emergency/crisis situations which occur. Provide basic directions to residents who experience emotional crisis during this shift.
  • Communicate effectively with other staff to provide consistent treatment for each client. Interacts therapeutically with residents.
  • Meets and maintains security and other standards necessary for admission to the program. Complies with all CDCR.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good sense of boundaries, ethics, and professional demeanor. Maintain the distinction between therapeutic and social relationships.
  • Cultural and ethnically sensitive.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all MHS and program rules, policies and procedures including HIPAA standards.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or its equivalent (e.g. General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
  • Trained and certified in CPR and the administration of first aid services within 30 calendar days of hire.
  • This is an entry-level position. Staff in this position are expected to be pursuing an education/training designed to further their career in the substance abuse treatment field.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite and EHR software.
  • Ability to solve problems and react appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with a team.
