Job summary

TURN is seeking a highly qualified Registered Nurse to provide operational oversight of nursing and direct client care, including health monitoring. In nurses’ absence, administer medications, assess symptoms and evaluate patient progress within a community mental health program.

You will supervise nursing staff, coordinate with the treatment team, and participate in leadership activities to maintain program integrity while ensuring confidentiality and client-centered care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in California required.
• Valid CA driver's license and current auto insurance per contract requirements required.
• Experience providing mental health and/or substance abuse services preferred.
• Cultural competency understanding required. Bilingual preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and EHR software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee medication coaching and delivery to clients; integrate medication administration into treatment plans.
• Oversee nursing policies, procedures, audits and liaison with program psychiatrist.
• Shift coverage including part of the on-call team; provide field-based services as required.
• Maintain confidentiality of client’s care and participate in program meetings.
• Assist Program Manager with day-to-day operations and supervise nursing staff.
• Act as a member of the leadership team and maintain program integrity.
• Transport clients in program or personal vehicle, as required.

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely documentation as contractually required and meet minimum billable requirements for direct client services.
• In collaboration with the treatment team, participates in the organization and management of medication coaching and delivery to clients, as well as integrating medication administration into treatment plans. Responds appropriately to medical emergencies.
• Dispense and account for prescribed medication, assist psychiatrist in administering and evaluating prescribed medication and arrange lab work according to protocol.
• Oversee nursing policies, procedures, audits and liaison with program psychiatrist.
