Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician for a seasonal role from September through November in San Bernardino, CA. You will work with a team of technicians to maintain and build buildings, performing preventive maintenance and roof inspections at various sites, using a range of hand and power tools.

The role requires experience in electrical/HVAC/plumbing or landscaping, a valid driver’s license, and 18+ years old. DOT certification can be sponsored.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping.
• Valid driver’s license.
• D.O.T certification (can be sponsored) by U-Haul.
• Must be 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and build new buildings.
• Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and semiannual roof inspections at various sites.
• Effectively work with a variety of hand/power tools.
• Pool knowledge with other Facility Maintenance Technicians to accomplish complex projects.
• Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Keep track of company truck and gas card.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
