Role Overview

As a Maintenance Technician at Perimeter Behavioral Health, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, functional, and therapeutic environment for our patients and staff. This position combines technical expertise with a commitment to safety and quality in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

Facility Maintenance

• Perform general repairs and maintenance including sheetrock repair, painting, light fixture maintenance, ceiling tile maintenance, carpet cleaning, floor care, and playground equipment safety checks.

Complete preventive maintenance tasks and respond promptly to maintenance requests.

Systems Management

• Conduct and document HVAC system audits, perform routine electrical inspections, troubleshoot mechanical equipment, and monitor building systems for optimal performance.

Grounds Management

• Maintain exterior safety including parking lot maintenance, snow and ice removal, lawn care, landscaping, and playground inspections. Operate grounds maintenance equipment safely.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow safety protocols, maintain organized work areas, ensure proper storage, report safety concerns, and adhere to healthcare standards.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of commercial building maintenance experience
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Physical ability to lift 60 pounds
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Strong problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• HVAC certification
• Experience in healthcare facility maintenance
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
• Background in electrical systems

Technical Skills

• General repairs, HVAC understanding, electrical troubleshooting, carpentry, painting, and equipment maintenance.

Compensation & Work Environment

• Starting at $15/hr
• Part-time, in-person, healthcare setting
• Possible on-call rotation
• Indoor and outdoor work, variable weather conditions

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 60 pounds, work in varying temperatures, and maintain manual dexterity.
