Role Overview

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be essential in maintaining a safe, functional, and therapeutic environment for our patients and staff. This role combines technical skills with a focus on safety and quality in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Facility Maintenance: Perform repairs and maintenance such as sheetrock repair, painting, lighting, ceiling tiles, carpet cleaning, floor care, and playground safety checks. Complete preventive maintenance and respond promptly to requests.
• Systems Management: Conduct HVAC audits, electrical inspections, maintain logs, troubleshoot mechanical equipment, and monitor building systems.
• Grounds Management: Maintain exterior safety including parking lots, snow removal, landscaping, and playground inspections. Operate grounds equipment safely.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow safety protocols, keep work areas organized, store tools properly, report concerns, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of commercial maintenance experience
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to lift 60 pounds
• Minimum age 21
• Strong problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid driver's license
• HVAC certification
• Experience in healthcare maintenance
• Knowledge of building codes and electrical systems

Technical Skills

• General repairs, HVAC, electrical troubleshooting, carpentry, painting, equipment maintenance

Compensation & Work Environment

• Starting at $15/hr
• Part-time, in-person in a healthcare setting
• Potential on-call duties
• Indoor and outdoor work, variable weather

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 60 pounds, work in varying temperatures, manual dexterity, stamina
