Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the environmental center in Taos, NM. Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor or Plants Operations Manager, you will perform maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and building codes.

Responsibilities include safety inspections, preventive maintenance planning, keeping accurate records, and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems to keep the facility safe and sanitary.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• Knowledge of laundry/housekeeping/maintenance procedures.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs regular, scheduled safety inspections.
• Prepares a monthly schedule for preventive maintenance.
• Maintains documentation of maintenance activities and replacement parts.
• Maintains logs on life safety and OSHA compliance.
• Performs routine maintenance and repairs of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Picks up and prioritizes work orders via the TELS system.
• Ensures availability of maintenance supplies.
• Prepares resident rooms for new or discharging residents.
